Prayer for Salvation

Romans 10:13

13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

During God’s time on earth, we have seen him as Jesus, a gentle, humble and loving man. Jesus shed his blood, died a horrible death on the cross, and was resurrected for our sins.  God now calls out, offering the gift of salvation but He will not make us accept his call. He has given us the free-will to chose.

As Christians, Jesus will stand up for us, in front of the Father, covering our sins with his blood, thus by giving us life eternal.  Why? Because God (the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit)  loves us.

As Christians, we can find rest for our souls. Jesus is always ready to be our advocate before God, but it’s important that we are ready to accept his help.

Jesus is willing to help us, are we willing to put our lives now and eternally  over to him?

Becoming a child of God encompasses so much more than just receiving from him. If you want to enjoy a personal relationship with Jesus, then read the following prayer a few times. When you feel that you have understood what it entails and are certain that you want Jesus in your life, then either pray the following, word for word, or just talk to God and ask him in your own words. It’s not the prayer that is important it’s what God see’s in your heart.

Do you feel that you can’t have Jesus in your life because you have too many sins or have done things that you are too ashamed to go before Him?  Well… The good news is, that God has already seen ALL of your sins, every single one of them and he is still willing to invite you into his family. He has watched you from before the time you were on this earth. You can’t hide anything from God. He is just waiting for you to be able to cast those sins off and begin a brand new life that includes Him.

Is today your day for salvation?

Heavenly Father,

Knowing that I have sinned and that I need the Lord Jesus Christ as my Saviour, I now turn from my sins and trust Jesus for my eternal life.  I ask you Father to forgive me and to deliver me from sin’s power and give me eternal life.

I now give Jesus Christ control of my life. From this time forward, as Jesus gives me strength, I will seek to serve him and obey him in all areas of my life.

Amen

Romans 8:38-39

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

As a result of your commitment to Christ by faith, you are now a child of God. Nothing or no-one can separate you from God.

Luke 15:10

10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

The Bible tells us …”There is joy in the presence of angels of God over one sinner who repents”

PLEASE NOTE: Yes, if you prayed for forgiveness, you are now a child of God and will never have to say the Sinners prayer again. You have secured a spot in Heaven and that will never change.

However, as we are still children on this earth, we will still sin. Confession of your sins is not something you do just the one time or even periodically. Whenever you sin, you should immediately go before God and ask for forgiveness from the sin.

The best thing you can do right now is find a good church, one that preaches on Jesus being a part of the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) and one that believes Jesus died for our sins.

The price Jesus paid for our sins was His death on the cross! May we always be thankful.
